How can we prevent anxiety?
Keeping yourself physically active: Developing an exercise routine can
help reduce anxiety through distraction and stress reduction. You can
ideally start with an easier routine and increase the intensity of your
exercise over time.
1.
Prioritizing your sleep: Anxiety is directly linked to your daily amount of
sleep. You can ensure that you get enough sleep to feel rested or consult
a specialist if you are unable to do so.
2.
Using relaxation techniques to relieve your stress: If you feel anxious,
visualization techniques, meditation, and yoga are a few of several
techniques you can use to reduce anxiety.
3.
Avoiding alcohol, drugs, smoking, and caffeine: Alcohol and drugs can
cause or worsen anxiety. In most cases, smoking and caffeinated
beverages can also worsen anxiety.
4.
Identifying Anxiety Triggers: You can work with your healthcare provider
to identify situations or actions that may trigger stress and practice
dealing with these feelings of anxiety.
